On June 18–19, 2025, the Hub of Knowledge and Technology Center of Cassava, funded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), in collaboration with the Thai Tapioca Development Institute Foundation (TTDI), organized an event to strengthen national and international research collaborations. The event included site visits and a networking meeting held at the Thai Tapioca Development Institute in Huay Bong, Dan Khun Thot District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
The event was honored by Professor Dr. Charernsak Rojanarithpithet, Vice Chairman of the TTDI Foundation and Advisor to the Center, who presided over the opening ceremony. The meeting aimed to build cassava research networks in Thailand and foster collaboration with The International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) from Colombia under the theme “Progress and Future Collaboration in Cassava Breeding Projects.” The session was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Chalermpol Phumichai, from the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University.
This visit and meeting provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange, expert recommendations, and the development of strategic directions that will benefit upstream cassava breeding efforts. It also helped to strengthen the cassava research network between Thailand and international partners.
