Thailand has officially entered the summer season since the end of February (according to the Meteorological Department announcement). This period is characterized by little rainfall and hot to dry weather/conditions, which are favourable for several pest outbreaks. One of the pests that causes significant damage to cassava plantations during the summer is the spider mite.
Herein, we will introduce a basic profile of red mites and how to prevent and control them during this period, aimed to understanding of the devastation from red mite interruption.
