
On May 29–30, 2025, The Thai Tapioca Development Institute Foundation (TTDI) collaboration with the Knowledge and Technology Center of Cassava had been organized a training session for staff members and farmer network groups from Ratchasima Green Starch Co., Ltd. at the conventional room of the Thai Tapioca Development Institute in Huay Bong, Dan Khun Thot District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. By the officially opened speech from the Assistant Director of Assets and Revenue, included a meeting activity with cassava farmers that hosted by the Director of the Sugarcane Working Group. This training initially aimed to provide comprehensive knowledge and information to participating cassava farmers, covering the following key topics

Cassava varieties in Thailand and the overall direction of cassava breeding development for resistance to cassava mosaic disease under the topic “Variety Development and Cassava Varieties” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Phumichai, Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University.

The overview of knowledge on the prevention, management, and treatment of cassava plant diseases under the topic “Plant Diseases and Pest Management in Cassava” presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Udomsak Lertsuchatavanich, Department of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University.

Practical knowledge on soil preparation, planting, and maintenance of cassava crops to ensure high-quality tubers, good yield, and high starch content, presented by Mr. Surachai Nueangsit, who officer from the Assets and Revenue Department, Thai Tapioca Development Institute.

This training provided well-rounded benefits to the participating cassava farmers, by further perspective that they will be able to apply the knowledge gained to enhance their cultivation practices, improve productivity and quality of life, and ultimately contribute to a more sustainable cassava farming cycle in the future.
